Hannes Abraham is a counsel specialised in intellectual property and commercial litigation. He represents international and local clients on intellectual property, IT, trade practices, advertising, e-commerce and distribution matters.
He has extensive experience in litigating matters before all levels of Belgian courts as well as courts and administrative bodies of the European Union.
Hannes further has experience in non-contentious matters, including advising on and drafting various types of commercial and IT agreements.
In addition to his law practice, Hannes is appointed by CEPANI as a third-party decider for disputes relating to domain names. He also works as a teaching assistant at the University of Ghent, in the Intellectual Property department.
Hannes regularly speaks and publishes on various subjects in the field of IP and IT. He serves on the editorial board of IE-Forum.be and is a member of the legislation committee of BMM.
Hannes obtained his master of law from the University of Ghent and a postgraduate degree in intellectual property law from KUB and KUL.
